This past Saturday The Trading Tortoise started their adventure in Toronto at the Narwhal Gallery! So Mark, Gemma and I each gathered something to trade and went to check it out!!
The Trading Tortoise is Souther Salazar & Monica Choy. They are from California and have set out on an adventure across the USA and Canada, meeting people and trading items with them. Each item will be tagged and photographed and you can follow their journey and see where your items end up!
I loved their Tortoise tent with their trading table. Their were so many unique items to trade!
Gemma had a little unicorn to trade. In return she got a box of turquoise beads!
I traded 5 postcards I made using Amy Tangerine products from American Crafts!
In return I got this fun stamp of a shoe stepping on a nail. Perfect to add in my art journal! Mark traded some Indiana Jones memorabilia for a little box. (But we didn’t take pictures of him.)
Souther Salazar currently has an exhibition at the Narwhal Gallery. It runs from June 16th – July 15th, 2012. If you are in Toronto I highly recommend you check it out!!
