Today I am taking part in Julie Fei-Fan Balzer’s Stencil Blog Hop once again, this time featuring the Stars and Circles Template!! The template comes in both the 12″x12″ and 6″x6″ sizes. Above I used the 12″x12″ template. I am using the templates with Pan Pastels over top of Acrylic Paint. I love how the Pastels work on top of the paint – both lighter and darker colours will show up!
Here I used the 6″x6″ template. I chose pastels that were similar to the paint colours so the design faded into the background and adds another layer of texture.
I used the 12″x12″ template again, but this time didn’t do the design over the whole page. I sprayed the Krylon Workable Fixatif over the pastels to prevent them from smudging and coming off.
I showed you how to paint the backgrounds in a previous episode featuring Eco Green Paints!
You can purchase this and plenty of other Crafter’s Workshop Templates from Scrapbook.com! Simon Says Stamp has the Pan Pastels for sale! When you use our links to shop at both of these online stores, Scrap Time receives a percentage of the sale and we appreciate your support!
