<p>So this is the 2nd week that I wanted to eat some of my weekly points. I ended up consuming 38, including 10 that I used for that half of the cheesecake above. I also had 13 activity points that I did not consume. I find it hard to allow myself to eat more food. The last 2 weeks I had special outings to make it a little easier to consume more. This week will be interesting since we don&#8217;t have that much planned. Even eating those 38 points, I was still able to lose 1 lb!! So I want to continue to eat more and see if I will continue to lose more!</p>

<p>I previously showed you the Viva Colour <a target="_blank" href="http://scraptime.ca/blogpage/?p=7858">Inka Gold</a>, but I wanted to share another technique with you! Inka Gold is such a unique substance. This time I am putting about 3 colours of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.splashofcolor.us/products/paint/viva-colour/inka-gold-metallic-rubs.html?cat=188">Inka Gold</a> onto my <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=199868&#038;m=24698&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=www%2Esimonsaysstamp%2Ecom%2Fservlet%2Fthe%2D15486%2Franger%2Dinkssentials%2Dcraft%2Dsheet%2FDetail">craft mat</a>. I spritz it with water, but still leave a few blobs. Then I take my tag and swipe it through the Inka Gold. The colours will blend, but you will also get some great texture from the Inka Gold! Do as many tags as you can until all the Inka Gold has been used!!</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.splashofcolor.us/products/paint/viva-colour/inka-gold-metallic-rubs.html?cat=188">Inka Gold</a> is available directly from the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.splashofcolor.us/products.html">Splash of Color</a> site!</p>

<p>Bazzill Basics has been hosting card swaps in the US for the past 2 years, and they are finally able to host their first Canadian Card Swap!! <a target="_blank" href="http://www.scrappingturtle.com">Scrapping Turtle</a>, in Ontario will be the host of the Canadian Swap! </p>
<p>Taken from the Bazzill site:</p>
<p><strong>What is a swap? A swap is the act of trading something &#8211; and in this case we are trading greeting cards made with Bazzill products!</p>
<p>Our card swaps are created with Bazzill Basic Paper enthusiasts in mind. Our next card swap features “general themed” cards using Bazzill’s Ambrosia collection by Margie Romney-Aslett.</p>
<p>To play along, create ten, handcrafted cards using your favorite patterned papers from the Ambrosia collection and coordinating Bazzill cardstock. You may use embellishments of your choice, they do not need to be Bazzill products. You only need to design one card and reproduce it until you have ten of the exact same cards (it&#8217;s okay if you need to switch up the Bazzill papers &#8211; just keep your design the same). Cards must be full size, A2 (4.25” x 5.5”) or larger. After the swap, you will have one of your original creations and nine other cards crafted by your fellow swappers. Remember to include envelopes!</p>
<p>When preparing your cards for mailing, please individually package each card in a ziplock bag and label it with your full name. Remember to include your full name and address in your package so your cards can be easily returned to you!</strong></p>
<p>This is open to both US and Canada!! Visit the <a target="_blank" href="http://swaps.bazzillbasics.com">Bazzill Basics Swap</a> page to register and for more information about the swap you will be part of!!</p>
<p>I will be playing along and will have a video next month showing you the cards I made!!</p>
<p>Happy Swapping!</p>

<p>When I attended CHA this past January I was introduced to the company <a target="_blank" href="http://www.docrafts.biz">DoCrafts</a>. They are based in England and had a lot of interesting crafts. One items that popped out to me was the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.docrafts.com/article/Build-A-Scene">Build-A-Scene</a> dies. In the die sets you get a variety of dies to build-a-scene. There are currently 5 sets: Nautical, Garden Party, All Aboard, Vintage Hot Air Balloon and London. You can buy them directly from their <a target="_blank" href="http://www.docrafts.com/productsearch/category0/brand49/textbuild-a-scene/page1">site</a>! I am showing you the Vintage Hot Air Balloon set. I am using <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=199868&#038;m=24698&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=www%2Esimonsaysstamp%2Ecom%2Fservlet%2Fthe%2DCrate%2DPaper%2FCategories">Crate Paper&#8217;s DIY collection</a>. I coloured the background using <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=199868&#038;m=24698&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=www%2Esimonsaysstamp%2Ecom%2Fservlet%2Fthe%2DPanPastel%2FCategories">Pan Pastels</a> to give it the soft feeling, like the paper.</p>

<p>I also made a card using the same elements. In the video I show you how to put together the little Hot Air Balloon!</p>

<p>Last weekend I attended a friend&#8217;s party. She had a huge spread out! There was an open bar, plus lots of foods &#8211; crackers, cheeses, smoked trout, ham, chips, dips, candies, fruit, veggies and lots more! I knew I was going to have 2 beers at the party. Since I was using my weekly points, I knew I could have some of the treats, but how do you calculate when you are having 1 of this and 2 of that? As I ate I tried to take a bit of inventory of what I was eating. Then at the end of the night I gave it a value of 10PP (not including the beer). Not sure how accurate I was, but was content with that number.</p>
<p>So, if you read last weeks post I was determined to eat more this past week. On top of going to the party, I also went to the Mandarin Chinese Buffet. Again, I had to guess at the point values for what I ate. By the end of the week I had calculated using 38 of my 49 weekly points. I also earned 10 Activity Points. I found that I don&#8217;t like to use all the points, because I like to leave breathing room for the food I don&#8217;t track, like the french fries I steal from Gemma&#8217;s plate or the chips I steal from out of the bag. I am going to try again this week, when I can more accurately calculate what I am eating.</p>
<p>In the end, I did manage to lose 0.8 lbs, which I am happy with!!</p>

I added a piece of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1915.html">corrugated paper</a> and went over it with the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-th-tdd36425.html">White Distress Paint</a>. In the video I show you the difference between the 2. I added a quote from the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1869.html">sticker sheet</a> as well as the title.</p>

<p>Here I used the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1868.html">Cardstock Sticker strips</a> and the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1876.html">tags</a>. I added a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1877.html">paper clip</a> on top. Fancy Pants has some <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcollection%2Dbrand%2Fartist%2Bedition%2Dfancy%2Bpants%2Bdesigns%2Ehtml">paper stencils</a>, and I added the dots and chevron on the page with some acrylic paint.</p>

<p>On this page I used one of the frames to frame my journaling. I used some of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1871.html">die-cut banners</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1869.html">alphabet stickers</a>. I tore some of the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1884.html">12&#215;12 paper</a> for strips in the corner, added a few more <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1869.html">stickers</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Ffp-1712.html">stenciled</a> on some dots!</p>

<p>This just shows you the difference between <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-th-tdw31246.html">White Distress Stain</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-th-tdd36425.html">White Distress Paint</a>. On the left is the stain, a bit of the middle is bare, and the right is the paint!</p>
<p>I love the Trend Setter Collection from Fancy Pants Designs! It is versatile for many occasions!</p>

<p>Today I am showing you a sampling of the new Spellbinders <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcollection%2Dbrand%2Fmedia%2Bmixage%2Dspellbinders%2Ehtml">Media Mixage</a> Collection! We are focusing on the new Bezels with co-ordinating dies. Spellbinders teamed up with Susan Lenart Kazmer. She designed a line of jewelry bezels, then Spellbinders designed a die that co-ordinates. This makes cutting the paper a cinch!! Now you will have perfectly sized paper for those bezel designs! They come in a variety of sizes and designs. Above I used the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mb1001s.html">large oval</a> with 2 <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mb1501s.html">smaller ovals</a>. I cut the paper from the new Spellbinders <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mp1001.html">Ephemera Paper</a> pad using the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-md1001.html">dies</a>. I then stamped dream and added a resin flower. I filled the bezels with <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-ir-ice1.html">Ice Resin</a> and then added some glitter.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/shoppingdiva/8713424175/" title="Scrap Time - Ep. 860 - Spellbinders Media Mixage Products by Shopping Diva, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8533/8713424175_4f1202e7a1_z.jpg" width="480" height="640" alt="Scrap Time - Ep. 860 - Spellbinders Media Mixage Products"></a></p>
<p>On this necklace I first painted the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mb2005.html">bezel</a> with the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcat%2Dbrand%2Fpaint%2Dvintaj%2Bnatural%2Bbrass%2Bcompany%2Ehtml">Vintaj Patinas</a>. I then cut my <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mp1001.html">papers</a> and added them into my <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mb1005.html">bezels</a>. I filled them with the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-ir-ice1.html">Ice Resin</a> as well. After I completed my pendants I decided to add a bit more patina. I recommend finishing with the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcat%2Dbrand%2Fpaint%2Dvintaj%2Bnatural%2Bbrass%2Bcompany%2Ehtml">Patinas</a> before adding the resin, or else you may get some sticking to the resin.</p>
<p>I cut all the paper using the new Media Mixage <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=33086&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store.scrapbook.com%2Fpp-sr-mmm001.html">Artisan X-plorer</a> die cutter. I love this machine because it is small, making it quick and easy to cut the small dies. You can also emboss with the machine.</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcollection%2Dbrand%2Fmedia%2Bmixage%2Dspellbinders%2Ehtml">Scrapbook.com</a> offers the whole <a target="_blank" href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?u=276824&#038;b=89480&#038;m=7429&#038;afftrack=&#038;urllink=store%2Escrapbook%2Ecom%2Fcollection%2Dbrand%2Fmedia%2Bmixage%2Dspellbinders%2Ehtml">Media Mixage Collection</a>! <p>I am always looking for food that I can order while I am out. I was happy to find out that a Harvey&#8217;s Grilled Chicken Sandwich was only 7PP. The chicken is 3PP and the bun is 4PP. It&#8217;s nice to know that if I am out shopping, I can order this and not &#8216;ruin&#8217; my day!!</p>
<p>On the Weight Watcher&#8217;s plan we are give 49 Weekly points, on top of our daily points. For the most part, I only use a small amount of these each week. I thought this week I am going to try to use most of the 49 points and see what my weight loss will be. Lately I will have 1 good week, then 2 small losses. This week I lost 0.2 lbs. I have a party to go to and a brunch this weekend, so I thought it would be a good time to experiment. I will let you know how it goes.</p>
