A few weeks ago Gemma and I attended an Etsy Craft Party. We were asked to bring in 4×6 copies of some photos. I brought in a bunch of photos printed off on my laser printer in black and white. We were then told that we were going to do embroidery on our photos. So I decided to use a photo of an art journal page I had made. We started by adding masking tape over the entire backside of the photo. This prevented the paper from ripping. Then we poked holes where we wanted to embroider, to make it easier for the needle to go through and to see where we were placing the stitches. Above is my finished piece. We adhered it to a post card once it was done.
This is Gemma’s finished piece, that she gave to her friend the next day. She was able to finish it in the 2 hours we had. She was very happy with her final results! This is a great activity for kids, as it is quick and simple to do!
On the next episode I am showing you the Ranger Mini Distress Inks!
Thanks for watching!
