Ep. 930 – Hazel and Ruby

Scrap Time - Hazel & Ruby

Today I am showing you some paper and stencil/masks from Hazel and Ruby!

Scrap Time - Hazel & Ruby

I wanted to show you the base of the page. I painted it and then collaged pieces of the Chevron Newsprint tissue and the floral paper on the page. I added quite a bit of paper throughout the page to make sure it would show through after I painted over it. Once it was dry I used the Blindside Stencil/Masks to add my words. There were enough multiples of letters to write out all of the words at once. The letters have a bit of a re-positionable adhesive on them, allowing them to stick to your page. You can use them over and over again! I then painted over the entire page using black gesso. I love how the colour pops in the letters.

Scrap Time - Hazel & Ruby

I did the exact same technique, but this time used the Broadside Stencil/Mask on this card.

And this is the card I make in the video!

Be sure to check out Hazel and Ruby to see all of their products!

On the next episode I am featuring Wendy Vecchi’s Stamp It Stencil It, plus we are cutting her stamps using the Scan n Cut!!

Thanks for watching!

Loved this! I was wondering if there are any video blogs or regular blogs that you like to follow? Keep up the great work.

I actually don’t watch a lot of videos or read too many blogs. I don’t want my work to be influenced by others. I want to bring you fresh content! Most of the blogs I read are Disney related or Toronto related.
