Today I am showing you Kroma Crackle paint! I love that this is a Canadian Company! You can get 2 different looks with this paint. First, if you spread it on and let it sit for at least 24 hours, possibly longer, until it turns completely white, you will get nice small cracks, like the first picture above. Now, if you are impatient, there is a way to get cracks with a heat gun. First you need to spread a think layer of white glue and let it dry. Then layer on the Kroma Crackle and hit it with your heat gun. You heat it until it turns white. You will get large cracks, like the second picture.
Once your crackle has dried you need to spread a layer of thin multi-medium over top to secure all the cracks. Then you can go over top with acrylic paints. I find adding a bit of gold over the cracks adds a nice touch as well!
So, decide which look you want and have fun creating!
