Today I am showing you the VerDay Paints and Patina Spray from Ten Seconds Studio! These are metallic paints that come in Copper, Iron, Bronze and Brass. The paints actually have very small bits of metal in them, so when you spray them with the special patina spray, you get that fabulous aged finish. Above I have used the Copper paint on the birdcage and bird. You need to paint your surface with 1 coat of the paint, then let it sit for an hour to completely dry. Then you apply a 2nd layer of paint using a sponge, or something textured so you get a smattering of paint and spray the Patina spray over it. Then sit it aside to do it’s job! You will see quite quickly the paint changing. I like to let it dry over night before using it on my projects.
On the sample above I used the Tim Holtz gridlock texture fades and the Caged Bird die. I also used Distress Paints and Distress Inks on the backgrounds of all of the samples.
On this sample there is a bit of the Bronze, Brass and Copper. I used the Tim Holtz Regal Crest die and the dot matrix texture fade.
This time I used the VerDay Bronze paint on the Heart Wings die. I also cut out the Styled Labels die and stamped on a greeting from the Tim Holtz Stuff to Say stamp set. It is all on the collage texture fade.
This last sample is the VerDay Iron Paint. I cut out the judy from the Sewing Room Die. As well, I cut a Styled Label and stamped a message from the Stuff to Say stamp set. I used the brick wall texture fade and added in some ruler ribbon!
If you are looking for that aged metal look, then you have to try the VerDay Paints and Patina Spray from Ten Seconds Studio! Ten Seconds Studio has a load of videos featuring the VerDay Paints as well as videos on how to use their metals and molds!!
