After watching Eat St. on the Food Network I was drawn to the idea of this fabulous food, served from cool looking trucks on the side of the road! I found out about the Toronto Food Trucks website, where each day they list the places to find Food Trucks in the city. So when they were going to be at Trinity Bellwoods, Mark and I were excited to go and test out the food!
I lined up at Gourmet Gringos.
I decided to try the Fish Tacos,
and the Pork Quesadillas. I LOVED the Quesadilla!! It was amazing! I enjoyed the Fish Tacos as well, but my heart was with the Quesadilla.
Mark lined up at the Food Dudes truck!
He ordered the Mac ‘n’ Cheese Balls,
and the Captain Crunch Cod Tacos. The Mac ‘n’ Cheese balls were so oozy, gooey delicious!! The Cod Tacos had amazing zing, however, we aren’t zinging food people. I preferred the Gourmet Gringos Fish Tacos, but if you like unique flavours, you may like the Food Dudes!
For dessert we stopped at Curbside Bliss Cupcakes.
I had Lemon and Mark & Gemma had a Chocolate Mint.
There were food trucks also at Nuit Blanche.
Gemma started her evening with a Tornado Potato!!
Mark and I headed to Buster’s Sea Cove.
Mark once again, had Fish Tacos. The fish was tasty and the whole taco was great together!
I had the Lobster Roll! This was the first time having a Lobster Roll, but it was delicious!
As the evening progressed we came across some more trucks. This time we just needed a snack.
We stopped by the Food Dudes and Mark ordered the Mac ‘n’ Cheese balls which were just as tasty as the first time we had them. He also ordered the Nutella Bombs which were chocolately good!!
I love that Toronto is finally embracing Food Trucks and that they are popping up daily around the city! When they are nearby I try to get over to taste some of the different offerings! If you are interested in getting updates on Food Truck events, be sure to check out the Toronto Food Trucks website and subscribe to their newsletter!
