Today I am showing you the Mirrored Sheets from Tim Holtz! This is a thicker material, than a cardstock, and has a completely reflective Mirror finish. You can only use your Bigz dies to cut through the material, regular thin dies won’t cut through it. In the tag above I used the Heart Wings die by Tim Holtz. I used Red Pepper Alcohol Ink on the wings. Once you use Alcohol Inks on the Mirror, it is no longer a reflective surface. I also used a variety of Distress Inks on the Kraft Resist paper background! Finally, the sentiment is from the Urban Chic stamp set.
This time I cut out the Mirrored sheet using the Mini Butterflies, then embossed it with an embossing folder! I like to cut first, then emboss, so my embossing doesn’t get flattened. The sentiment is from the Stuff to Say stamp set.
For this last tag I cut out the Mini Hearts. I then wanted to give the mirrored that antiqued finish. I started by using Snow Cap Mixative as my base. That way the colour would show up on top of it. I then added Lake Mist alcohol inks. If it is too dark I went over it with some Blending Solution. I finally added some speckles using Pitch Black alcohol ink and a stencil brush.
