Ep. 448 – Using Packaging in Mini Books

Scrap Time - Ep. 448 - Using Packaging in Mini Books

I hope everyone had a great Holiday and a Happy New Year!!

After the Holidays most of us have a pile of boxes and wrapping ready for recycling and garbage. Well, today I want to try to inspire you to use that packaging in your mini books and scrapping projects. You can cut up boxes to use as pages and covers. You can Collage tissue paper onto your boxes. You can use some of your favorite Cards as a page in your book – you can always paint or add paper to the message side if you don’t want to include it. You can cut up gift bags. Take pieces of the wrapping paper and add it to your pages. Keep ribbon and trims and add those as well. And by using these papers will add even more sentimental value when looking back at the book.

As well, when you are on trips, collect things to add to your scrapbooks when you return, such as pamphlets, menus, boxes, bags, room keys, and airline tickets.

Once I complete my book I will show it to you.

What a wonderful idea! I’m always collecting things from hotel rooms when I go away and I have loads of paper goods I received when we stayed at the Grand Floridian. Now I know what to do with them.

    Thank you!

Happy New Year! Now I know that I’m not the only one who saves all that stuff from traveling hoping to use it some day some how…Can’t wait to see your finished project.

Tissue boxes are another good source of patterned cardboard. I cut a lot of cute penguins off boxes one year to use on Christmas cards, The flowered boxes make good covers for spring and summer mini books.
