Ep. 444 - Tattered Angels & Holiday Contest!
Today I am showing you some new products from Tattered Angels! Tattered Angels is one of my favorite companies! Along with new Glimmer Mist colours they have also introduced Glimmer Tiles, Calling Cards, and new screens and stamps including some 12″ screens and stamps! The Tiles are embossed on one side, then solid on the other. Therefore you can use them on layouts or as pages of a mini book. And, my favorite new Tattered Angels products is their Pink Spray mats! I have the 2′ x 3′ one constantly on my work surface now.
A few tips on using Glimmer Mist!
1. The further away you spray the lighter your mist will be. The Closer you spray, the more condensed the spray will be.
2. When spraying, start off your page and spray while keeping your hand in motion.
3. Use a paper towel to help blend and absorb your extra mist.
4. Don’t be afraid to use a lot of spray. This helps with the “drip” spots.
Check out the Tattered Angels site to see all of their products!

And now for the contest!! Christmas is just around the corner and I have collected a box of goodies waiting to be sent out to one of you! All you have to do is leave a comment here on the blog letting me know what you wish to find under your Christmas Tree! And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, just let me know what is on your Wish List.
And if you want to give me a gift, I always love to read reviews of Scrap Time on iTunes! Each review helps to bump us up in the ratings!!

I would love to hear your opinions on the show, and if you have any problems watching it. As well, if you have any techniques, projects, new products or tools you would like to see featured. You can email me at:

My Wish List includes a Cricut Expression, Jukebox, some cartridges, the Gypsy & the remainder of my Copic Sketch markers. Might as well go big, right? The smaller things I’d like to have include the Tattered Angels misting mats, plus the Glimmer Screens & mists that I don’t have yet.
December 16th, 2009 at 6:16 am
Love your show…thanks so much! Due to financial issues this year, Christmas has been cut waaaaay back so any scrapping stuff would be welcome since that has pretty much been cut out of my budget for the time being. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
December 16th, 2009 at 6:23 am
Hi I love your web shows, you inspire me in my creations and also in my buys. Under the christmas tree this year I would like to find a couple of things, like some dvd’s but also a making memories machine ( the slice).

December 16th, 2009 at 8:29 am
I love your videos. I load them on my ipod and watch when I am travel for work. They are a great distraction from the stresses of work and air travel. Plus they stimulate my creative juices.

Thank you and Merry Christmas
December 16th, 2009 at 8:32 am
I love all the videos and information you post. You work hard to do them and they are appreciated!
Under my tree… could the gift if TIME be under my tree? I love my two little boys (4 and 2 1/2) but I don’t get much time to myself - either to make cards/projects or even just to sit! A little bit of time is all I’d like.
December 16th, 2009 at 9:00 am
I just used Glimmer Mist for the first time just last month on an advent calendar project, and I just love it! It was super fun to work with. So I’d love to see more of this under my tree this year (I only have three colours so far.) And those tiles you’re talking about sound really neat too! My biggest wish for the holidays this year though is the Making Memories Embellishment Center. My office/craft space is getting ready for finishing soon, and this would make a beautiful yet functional display of all my crafting goodies!
December 16th, 2009 at 9:03 am

December 16th, 2009 at 10:01 am
Hmmm for me it is a new point and shoot, since I don’t always want to lug my DSLR around. Some scrap goodies are always good too, but I do my own shopping for that, and then put it under the tree ‘from’ dh LOL
December 16th, 2009 at 10:02 am
my big wish is for a Silhouette for Christmas! I’d also really love to get the apron lace punch by Fiskars

December 16th, 2009 at 10:03 am

I have always gotten my kids involved in crafts of all kinds and also the neighbor kids and my nieces most are grown now and continue to do alot of crafts! My only youngster is the baby in the family who would rather be with Aunt Roby than with Mom & Dad ..lol… because of CraftTime as she has so fondly come to call it!! and she has her own little tub of goodies that Aunt Roby adds to often and she is so surprised when she comes to find goodies and of course she has to use my stuff as well but always with permission and respect! But I have to say at the ripe old age of 7 she is quick study is going to be quiet something of an artist someday! December 16th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
My Ultimate wish list for what I would want under my Christmas tree would be:

1) A really nice wide format printer
2) My own SLR digital camera(so I do not have to share with my hubby
3) Loads of scrapbooking goodies!!
4)Oh, and by the way,…an addition on the house, so I can store all my STUFF!!!
Now, reality: what I really NEED…time to play with the stuff I already have!
Great show and web site! Your podcast is the only one I watch EVERY episode of!
Thank you Christine, and Merry Christmas to you, Mark and your adorable Gemma!!
December 16th, 2009 at 2:01 pm
Hi Christine,
Happy Holidays to you!
My wish would be a die cutting machine, I’m new to scrapbooking so I’m sure which type yet!
Thank you for your shows, they teach me so much.
December 16th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Hi Christine,
Yippee! Another contest! First off, I LOVE your blog and I visit every day! You are an inspiration with all of your wonderful art.
This year, I hope to get the tabletop paper cutter from Stampin Up under my tree!
Happy Holidays to you and your family!
December 16th, 2009 at 2:45 pm
under my tree I would LOVE to get a gypsy (not hopeful on that) Some Glimmer mist and different paper/embellishments would be cool. I LOVE your show. Been watching for over a year now. Very inspiring. You give me courage to try new things that I wouldn’t have otherwise done. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
December 16th, 2009 at 3:00 pm
I am hoping to get a scor- Pal for Christmas but would be much happier if my husband got a new job instead!!
December 16th, 2009 at 3:13 pm
Hi Christine! I love your contests! Thanks for this Christmas one. I have already received my early Christmas present and it was the Cricut Gypsy! Now if I could only find the time in this pre Christmas prep time to play with it………. So any new cartridges for it would be appreciated plus some new papers and embellishments would be nice.
December 16th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
I am hoping to see my children happy, satisfied, and cheery on Christmas morning. Since I am unemployed, Christmas is a little tough this year, and we are trying to focus more on memories, time, and together- and less on “stuff”. Of course, a box full of Tattered Angel stuff would be VERY welcome
December 16th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
an extra room in my house to set up as a craft room!!
December 16th, 2009 at 3:58 pm
One unrealistic wish for me would be for the Christmas elves to write comments and names on the back of all the old family photos my grandmothers left behind so that I can compile a proper album for the family.
On the more realistic side of things, I’d like some good, portable storage solutions so that I can quickly take small projects with me to work on while I wait outside ballet classes, music practice, roller-skating….. and some bigger portable storage to take lots of items to all-day crops. But more episodes of scraptime will suffice.
December 16th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
What I asked for this year are more craft supplies or gift cards for Michael’s so I can do some awesome crafts with my Brownies. Nothing is cheap and on a very limited budget it’s hard to get all the supplies we need, let alone supplies for the crafts they want to do every week.
December 16th, 2009 at 4:32 pm
I already received my Christmas present and it was my new Gypsy! Yeah!! Now I am just looking for the time to sit down to really put it through its paces. Have a wonderful holiday with your family.
December 16th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
I would like to get the rest of my copic markers. While I’m wishing big, I would also like to enlarge my craft room and double the size.
December 16th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Hmmm…I would love the second set of my Copic Ciao markers under the tree. Otherwise, I’m just happy to have my health, family and fellow crafters - such as yourself - who share in joy of creativity!!! Thank you for the videos!!!
December 16th, 2009 at 5:24 pm
I love watching your shows. When I am in a creative rut you really inspire me. I hope to find an embossing machine under the tree this year, actually I am happy to receive anything craft related.
December 16th, 2009 at 5:34 pm
I’d love to find an L letterpress under my tree - or the new Letterbox line from American Crafts (the colours are delicious)
December 16th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
This year I hope to get more craft gifts under my tree. One can never have enough stamps, ink, or paper. I would definitely love to get more of the Spellbinders dies, especially the nestabilities. Thanks for the opportunity to win some Christmas goodies. Please keep posting your wonderful videos. I like seeing new products and how you use them!
December 16th, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Thank you for your showing us products and techniques. I really enjoy your videos! My wish is for more craft time! Happy and Safe Holidays!!
December 16th, 2009 at 6:49 pm
I’d love just about anything to do with die cutting and embossing under my tree, Copics are always a great addition to the craft stash too!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas Christine.

My true wish: for another year of health and happiness for my friends and family.
My pie in the sky wish: That Koyuko would make the dot n’ roller adhesive again.
My stuff list: Clauding Helmuth sticky back canvas and gel medium, some Tim Holtz goodies, a Bind It All, Photoshop Elements and a great printer…….probably going to take up a few Christmases but I have plenty of photos to keep me busy!
No matter what you are celebrating this season MAY IT BE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY TIME FOR ALL and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! : )
December 16th, 2009 at 7:50 pm
To be totally honest, there isn’t anything I really *nned* that I can’t get myself, but in the spirit of holiday fun, I wouldn’t mind finding the latest Silhouette or Cricut Expressions under a tree with my name on it!
And if we’re to really shoot for the moon, I would be over the moon to find a paid ticket for me for the Tuscany Tour with Ali Edwards from ScrapMap in 2011! =) Thanks for the opportunity, and a Warm and Wonderful Holiday Season to you and yours and a Bright and Peaceful New Year!
December 16th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
Hi, we do celebrate Christmas, but this year there is no tree, gifts or decorations. We just moved here and things are real tuff. I would wish for a Christmas miracle. A job for my hubby. I would realy like to be asking for all kinds of fun craft supplies but a JOB is so more important right now. So if You could just pray for us that would be great. Merry Christmas
December 16th, 2009 at 8:09 pm
I would love to find a set of Copics under my Christmas tree!!
December 16th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
My husband has already asked what is on my Christmas wishlist - he wants to buy me something scrapbook related. I was rather tempted by the Slice, but had a much beter idea…..
It is rather simple - 12 hours of scrapbook time with him and our 10 year old son. This works out to 1 hour per month, so not too daunting. What I would like is for them to do the journaling on eventsand fill out questionnaires I prepared. I often feel that the memories are fairly one sided with me documenting them.
If they devote 1 hour per month helping me documenting our lives, it would be the best Christmas present ever. I hope your goodie stash includes something to assist with the journaling!
Merry Christmas Christine. Love the show and hope you and your family have a great holiday.
Kind regards,
Adrienne

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas! Treasure every moment with your friends and loved ones. I’ve tried to be real good this year, and I am hoping Santa will bring me some of those new Tattered Angels bingo cards, screens and stamps.
Christine, I look forward to your shows every week. I learn something new all the time.
December 16th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
I’m hoping for some Waltzing Mouse Vintage Label stamps to use with my Nesties (and perhaps more Spellbinder products).
December 16th, 2009 at 9:23 pm
hmmm well I would LOVE to have a dSLR under the tree but I know that is NOT possible so I guess I’d like some more Copic markers. I’ve sent my parents a list. =)
December 16th, 2009 at 9:24 pm
For Christmas I am hoping for more Copics, Nestabilities, scrapbook storage, after the video - more Tattered Angels mists and the Gypsy.
About the show - I love the show. It is so helpful in learning ways to use products. You don’t always just show one way - you often show several and that is what I appreciate. I go to my local store and then see the products and of course have to buy after I better understand how to use them. Often people are reluctant to buy products because they feel there is only one way to use the product. I am glad to have your videos to show me that isn’t true. I have told many people about it. Keep the videos coming!!
December 16th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
I love finding out about new stuff on your site–thanks for the great videos! I’m hoping to find an embossing machine under the tree this year–would be nice to have more tattered angels products too-especially stamps and masks and mists!
December 16th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
What I really need is more time to work on my albums! But at this point, I would be thrilled with what ever I received related to scrapbooking.
December 16th, 2009 at 10:13 pm
Good health for me and my family is on my wish list, I need some good luck this year!!
Thanks for all you do, I enjoy all of your videos, Happy Holidays
December 16th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
Love your broadcasts! I watch them over and over again! Happy Holidays!
December 16th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
I’m guilty of being one of those lurkers that enjoys the videos and info you post but never leaves a comment!!
What I would love to find under the tree, but won’t see unless I put them there myself, are a wide format printer, a sewing machine with fun stitches, a serger, something like the Cricut that doesn’t need cartridges & a giant bag of crafting/mixed media stuff (hint, hint)!!
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos!!
December 16th, 2009 at 11:24 pm
I love your videos. Especially when you “enable” me to purchase something I didn’t even know I “needed” until I watched you! I would love to find a Cricut Expression under my tree.
December 16th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
I really want a Cricut and some cartridges. The new Pagoda cartridge looks really neat. Some Glimmer Mist and Distress Inks would fit nicely in my stocking. I haven’t worked w/ embossing powders yet so I’d like to get some this Christmas to try them out. Looking forward to your next podcast for more goodies and techniques.
December 17th, 2009 at 12:07 am
You videos are so good. I am just starting to make cards with special goodies. I come to your video list to learn about a lot of products. Thank you. Have a good time at CHA 10!
December 17th, 2009 at 12:47 am
My dream gift this year would be either a full set of all the colours of Stickles, or the full set of Distress Ink stamp pads I think.
December 17th, 2009 at 1:36 am
Christine, your videos are wonderful. They are informative, straightforward and short. My favorites are the technique-oriented ones. I love when you introduce a new product and then show how to use it. Thank you (and Mark) for creating these terrific educational pieces. 444 episodes and counting…you are AMAZING! Happy holidays.
December 17th, 2009 at 2:35 am
I look forward to checking my I Tunes Poscasts’ every night before I go to bed. I am disappointed when I don’t see an episode update from Scrap Time.
My Christmas wish would be for a new Scrap n Cube cabinet. They have a 24″ square cabinet that has two fold down leaves that open up to a 72″ workstation. Underneath you can have drawers or shelves, whatever combination you deisign. I have three large pieces of their furniture and would love this piece to complete my work area.
Keep up the terriffic work! I wish I had your energy to finish some of my scrapbooking projects. Love your show.

I am hoping Santa (aka hubby) brings me an external hard drive for my thousands of photos! Plus I am wishing for a couple of cards for my slice. Keep up the great work on your podcasts. Merry Christmas to all from down under!
December 17th, 2009 at 7:00 am
Don’t really need a thing! I would just love to enjoy the luxury of time with my friends and family, and to dabble with my stamps and Copics. Love your podcasts, Christine - off to comment!
December 17th, 2009 at 10:05 am
Thanks for another year of sharing.
I just want some peace and good times with family under the tree.
Wishing you all the best of the season.
December 17th, 2009 at 10:25 am

December 17th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Love your shows and I would love to receive some new Slice cartridges or fun papers under the tree!!
December 17th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
My Christmas wish would be that your show never ever ends because I enjoy watching you show all the new products and how to use them. Now if only Santa could help me choose the right color of paper to use with my prints I would really like that. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you & Jenna.
December 17th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
my wishes for christmas are stuff to use for the embossing tehnique - and I always need more time to do my scraphobby
December 17th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
What would I like to find under my tree? A little note saying: ” Dear Julie, we will take care of the kids, the laundry, the grocery shopping, the house cleaning, the cooking… You can now enjoy stamping, scrapbooking, art journaling without being interrupted!” I love your show, every time I learn something new. Happy Holidays!
December 17th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
The Santa Workshop limited edition and the Letterpress +
epic6 combo are on the top of my wish list this year. Love your shows. Happy Holidays!

I have been eyeing the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher for MONTHS!!! It is finally under the Christmas tree and ready to be opened on Christmas morning.

I enjoy your videos they are very informative, I wish to find under my tree your box of goodies.
Happy Holidays to everyone!
December 17th, 2009 at 6:07 pm
Your programs are wonderful. I eagerly look forward to watching each new one. I have learned so much about new products, how to use them and fantastic techniques. As for my Christmas Wish list that is a bit trickier. I don’t want to be greedy but there are so many things that could go on that list. I think if I could have only one but any one thing on my list it would be a Cricut machine.
December 17th, 2009 at 7:43 pm
Hi Christine, I am very fortunate to have “too much” (is there such a thing?) stuff already. I would have to say my biggest wish list item would be more time to actually use my stuff. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and see you at SBD!
December 17th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
I would love a scrapbooking retreat, maybe with a massage and mani/pedi thrown in. That would have (almost) all my favorite things in one place. Well, a girl can dream…
December 17th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
I would love to find an embossing tool and supplies. I just discovered this technique and I am excited to try it out. Thank you for all of your videos!
December 17th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
I love those new screens and stamps to go with them… I covet all of them
A couple things that have been on my wishlist are Grungepaper and various Tim Holtz stamp sets. I want them fiercely
December 17th, 2009 at 11:59 pm
Christine, Thank you for these videos & the effort that you put into them. I’ve been watching them for 1.5yrs now and always learn something new technique-wise.
Gift-wise, I’m really hoping for a Gypsy under the tree. (Pretty sure DH has this covered since it’s the one thing I actually asked for.) Otherwise, I can always find a use for anything scrapbook related. I’ve started playing with Glimmer Mist & love those new Fall/Winter colors. I also wouldn’t mind getting a heat gun & embossing supplies for a new take on my rubber stamp collection. And I’m pretty addicted to anything Cricut.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!! Looking forward to more videos & I hope you’ll do more “behind the doors of CHA in Jan 2010″
December 18th, 2009 at 12:37 am
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Your site! You review EVERYTHING!! You give a good description of the product and show how to use it. The videos load quickly and never have an indefincate puase like some I watch on youtube. I am a seasoned scrapbooker/papercrafter and you teach me things!
I really appeciate all the hard work you put into them!
Thanks!

You are so generous Christine! I love watching your shows and especially love how you cram as much info as you can onto those vids. Really helpful with new toys
On my Christmas list this year are fun little things like more Glimmer mist colours, more Distress Inks and perfect pearls. The biggie I’m hoping for is the new L Letterpress. I’m really anxious about this baby!! I haven’t seen it available in Cdn yet….soon I hope.
Thanks for the chance to win and Happy Holidays to you and your family Christine!
December 18th, 2009 at 9:59 am
The only thing I would like to see under the tree would be the new BG Origins paper line, but since it isn’t released yet, I’ll have to wait until 2010!
December 18th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Oh man. Where do I start. I am so greedy when it comes to scrapbooking. Those 12″ Tattered Angels screens and stamps look wonderful. I would love those under the tree. Now selfishness aside, I would love that box of goodies for my friend Joy who runs a program at a local pregnancy crisis center. Part of the program involves a scrapbooking class that she runs for the young mothers.
December 18th, 2009 at 12:44 pm
Hi Christine, I do love your shows and watch all of them in time. You give me a lot of inspirations and I like it to learn some new technices from you.
Under my christmastree I hope to find some Tim Holtz stamps and some new colors from glimmer mist.
Wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year!
Esther

Love your videos Christine! keep em coming.
December 18th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
Under my Christmas tree I hope to find Spellbinders Impressabilties and a Silhouette machine. I’ve been pretty naughty this year though so I’d feel lucky if I even received a lump of coal.
December 19th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Merry Christmas, Christine, Love all your videos and check every day to see when a new one is out. I want an I-top brad maker for Christmas for one thing. More inks, stamps, mists and cricut carts would also be nice. And more time to scrap, that would be the best thing.
December 19th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Hi, Well I just love your videos where I become informed of new items and learn new ways of paper crafting. One of the things I want for Christmas is an electronic die cut machine or at least an Epic 6 tool from Quickutz. I am hoping my grown kids will chip in and get one of these expensive items for me. Thanks so much for an opportunity to win a great gift.
December 19th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
Hello Christine and thanks for the opportunity. I would love to find an SLR digital camera under my tree. Since my old point and shoot expired on me, I realize just how much I relied on this tool to capture family moments. I have not replaced it b/c I am hoping Santa will. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
December 19th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
Hi Christine, I love your shows - you are an awesome demonstrator/teacher! Under my Christmas tree, I would love to find a new Cricut Cartridge called Winter Woodland. I alway love pattern paper, I’m addicted to any and all and like you, I love the Tattered Angels, I’m just getting into them. Merry Christmas to you and all your followers!
December 19th, 2009 at 9:17 pm

I would like to find some Stamping Bella stamps, more Glimmer Mist (I love all the ideas you provide!), more dies for my Cuttlebug… the list could go on and on.
December 20th, 2009 at 1:06 pm
I’m thinking that I’d love a Yudu- I really love “upcycling” and I think it would be handy and a lot of fun! Thanks for the chance to win- I really appreciate your great content!
December 20th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
I am so excited everytime you post something and show how to use it. I know I am too late for the contest, but wanted you to know. I love the misters. I am just getting into them.
December 20th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
Hi Christine. What I’d love to find under a the tree is a new watch… a magic watch capable of giving me more time to scrap. LOL
Have a Merry Christmas and all the best in 2010
