I spent 4 days this past week at my Mom’s! Whenever you go away, your routine goes away as well! On Sunday we went to the Golf Club for dinner. It sounds posh, but actually it was quite down to earth and affordable. I had a ribeye steak with fries!! Plus like 5 little pieces of this summer yummy hot bread and butter! It was delicious! I knew I was a little high in points but I was treating myself! Then for dessert (yes it gets worse) I had a piece of lemon cheesecake. The saving grace was that it was small and had no crust. So light and tasty!
The next day it rained, so no exercise for me! And for dinner I had a Mom specialty that involved potatoes, flour, cheese and butter!! Yikes!!
Come Tuesday I knew walking was needed! Gemma and I went for a walk down to the back of my Mom’s farm and back. I then continued to do laps of the yard until I hit 5500 steps and 1 Activity point! After we ate dinner (pizza!!!) I went for another walk before heading out for ice cream!! (I had frozen yogurt!)
Wednesday morning I did more walking! The guilt and fear of the scales was sinking in! Then Gemma and I went Horseback Riding. According to Weight Watchers, 40 minutes of Horseback Riding is 4 points. I had worn my pedometer and it actually said the same thing! Then we went to the Butterfly Conservatory and walked around a bit there! We had dinner at Swiss Chalet before heading to the train!
So how did the scale treat me? I managed to lose 0.6 lbs! I think if I didn’t take the time to do my walking, the results wouldn’t have been the same!
