I have been walking a lot lately. Just yesterday I clocked in over 15000 steps! So, to keep me going I like to listen to music. I have an iPod Nano that can clip onto my pocket, or purse, or bag or even my shirt! I have an exercise playlist that has over 3 hours of music, so with each walk I get to hear different music. I combine fast and slow songs, and keep it on Shuffle so I don’t know what song is coming next.
When selecting your songs, you want to pick songs that you love! Songs that will keep you motivated to walk further, mainly because you want to listen to the song. As well, I like fast beat songs to get my feet moving quicker, but I add in some medium beat songs because I can’t keep up that fast pace for the whole walk. Don’t add in songs that are too slow, or you will find yourself just wandering at a slow pace.
