Peaches & Raspberries

One of the highlights of August here in Southern Ontario is the Peaches! The Niagara Region produces some of the sweetest Red Haven Peaches! So I was very excited to see them available at the Farmer’s Market! I bought a basket and carried them home! I cut up the peach and added some raspberries and my fruit salad was complete! The peaches are so sweet that nothing else was required! And it was delicious! I can’t wait to have peaches for lunch again today!!     Yum!!!! Today I made a pizza for lunch and it was so tasty! I took a huge portobello mushroom, cleaned it etc. then put it into a little skillet with a bit of olive oil. First with the “inside” of the mushroom down, then flipped it and put some spaghetti sauce (you could use pizza sauce, but I had some left in a jar in the fridge.) Then added a bit of cheese and a couple slices of pepperoni. It was sooooooo good. I found that I should have used less cheese than I did, and of course I could have cut the pepperoni and added some other veggies. But even so with cutting out the crust, it is so much better for me, the calorie and carb count is much better.
