Ep. 775 – Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms

Scrap Time - Ep. 775 - Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms

Today I am showing you the Spellbinders Bitty Blossom Dies, designed by Donna Salazar. There are a few spiral flower dies currently on the market, but what I like about this set is that the finished flowers are small. Sometimes I find the larger flowers too big for some of my projects. However, even though these flowers are smaller, they still add dimension to your project.

Scrap Time - Ep. 775 - Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms

So as I was looking for a bit of inspiration, I came across Donna’s blog and found a post she did on smooshing down the flowers and thought I would give it a try! I sprayed the flowers with Perfect Pearls Mist by Ranger and then used a stamp block to smoosh down the flower. This flattened the flower, making it easier to use in my Art Journal. I think this would also help card makers who mail their cards and scrapbookers who put their pages in protectors! Even smooshed the flowers are still very pretty!

I used the Summer Soul collection from Fancy Pants for all the flowers!

Itty bitty flowers are wonderful. I agree most are bigger flowers and hard to put in journals or to flatten them if you put your layout in a page protector.

Thanks for the show and tell.

What a great idea, I would have never thought to spritz them and smuch them like that. I don’t mind some bulk on pages, but sometimes it’s too much, this is great. Thanks!

I buy the postcards from an Art Supply store. But you can get watercolour paper and cut it down as well.
