Ep. 774 – Scrap Time: the book and a Contest!

I have been waiting months to announce our big news!!! We have entered the book market!! But not just any books, iBooks!! Scrap Time: the book includes videos and photo galleries plus interactive links! This is all brand new content that I put together just for the book! The books contains an intro video, then 5 how to videos plus an exclusive video that we filmed at CHA asking some of your favourite designers 5 fun questions!! Our plan is to be continuously making more of these books throughout the year!

The next book is How to Make 10 Fabulous Fabric Flowers. I have taken 10 videos from the Fabric and Paper Flower Class and turned them into this book! I am hoping to still make the book featuring the 10 Paper Flowers. I am going to be doing a series of these books as well – basically having an online class in a book format! I am currently working on a book all about Spray Mists. It was going to be 10 videos, but I think I am up to 16!!

The 3rd book that is currently available is the CHA Winter 2012 book. We filmed exclusive videos for the book that didn’t appear on Scrap Time! As well, I have compiled photos into different categories, making little galleries of them in 1 place! This book is FREE!! It’s a good way to see what an iBook is all about!! And we have plans on producing another one when we attend CHA in July!

So those are our 3 books currently available. They are available in 32 iTunes stores around the world!! However, they can only be viewed on an iPad.

I hope you will support us as we enter this new, exciting media!!

And now for the contest!! I am giving away 5 downloads of Scrap Time: the book and 5 downloads of How to Make 10 Fabulous Fabric Flowers!! Leave me a comment here letting me know what you think of the books and any topics you would love me to cover!! If you buy the book and then win a copy, I will give you a code for the next book for free!!

Contest closes Sunday, June 24th, 2012 at 10pm EST!!

On the next episode I am showing you the Spellbinders Blossom dies!

Thanks for watching!

Hi. Your books are amazing! I love the multi-media format. Fabulous photography, marvellous movies and interesting instructions. I’d love further books on art journalling, mini-books and washi tape. Congratulations on your super podcasts, the new venture into books and for your success with your weight loss, you look stunning. I’m also enjoying your feature on Crafty Toronto, you’ve made me want to move there!

I have really enjoyed the bi-annual insight to CHA that you provide us with and your style of ebook is a fabulous addition to that, with all your update goodness in one place. As soon as you tweeted about the winter CHA issue I got it straight away and was so pleased when you tweeted that there would be further books. I have had a tremendous amount of pleasure from my papercrafting hobby of 27 years and love how my IPad has recently added to this. I have a challenging journey to make in the next few weeks and your ebooks are going to provide a creative oasis during that time. Thanks again for sharing with us and long may it continue.
