Ep. 305 – Baby Clothes Album

Scrap Time - Ep. 305 - Baby Clothes Album

When Gemma was a baby I kept a pile of her clothing. I later cut them into squares with plans to make a quilt. This didn’t actually happen, so I decided to take all the squares and make a scrapbook album with them. I was able to match the pieces of fabric with pictures of Gemma wearing the clothes and put it all together into a book. It not only documented some of her clothing, but also gave me an album with pictures of Gemma from birth to 1 year old.

Oh, man, do I LOVE this idea! I have kept a few things, but I don’t really expect them to be worn. Now I can cut a few things out and keep them this way. I don’t quilt and didn’t know what else to do with them! Yea! I’m gonna go hack up a few squares now….

  2. Sherrie says:

How in the world do you find the time to do all that you do! Gemma will have the most well documented childhood of anyone!

Wow, this is fantastic! What are the fabric pieces attached to, and what adhesive do I use? I definitely want to try this.

  5. Christine says:

Everything is on a 12×12 piece of cardstock and I used Zip Dry to glue it all down.

Hi there, Just wanted to say you do a great job on your videos. I watch them through iTunes so it automatically downloads them for me. Can’t tell how often I have been stuck waiting for someone and was able to be entertained and educated about something new with scrapping while I waited! I am in the US, in Louisiana and just wanted to send a Happy New Year to you and your family. Keep up the great work!

  7. Bobbi-Lynn says:

Here are some ideas if you don’t want to cut up the clothes, so you could donate them to someone. You could use your scanner to make copies of the clothes and print out parts you like, or take close up photos of embellishments on the clothes.

What a fantastic idea! You never cease to amaze me :)
