Ep. 157 – Altering Clear Buttons and Our 1 Year Anniversary Contest!!!!

Ep157 - Altering Clear Buttons and One Year Anniversary Contest
WOW!!! We have been doing Scrap Time for 1 year!!!! I hope you are enjoying the episodes!! My goal is to try and show you some of the latest products on the market before you buy them and learn some new techniques while we are at it!! Our audience has grown and I hope it continues to grow!! Please forward my site to all stampers and scrappers you know!!

And you may notice a few changes to the site! We are trying to make Scrap Time easier to view! We know a lot of you are on PC’s, but the show is made on a MAC so we have tried to find a common ground. We are adding this new Flash Player so you can watch the episode right here on the site! We didn’t do this earlier because we couldn’t find a program that kept up the clarity of the program that we desire. We want to offer you the crispest image available so we can see the detail in what I am showing you. So let us know what you think!

And now for today’s show!!! I am showing you a variety of ways to alter clear buttons!! By using acrylic paints, Staz-on, Copic Markers, rub-ons, Peel-off stickers, Stickles, patterned paper, embroidery thread and by layering them you can create some unique buttons to co-ordinate with your layouts and cards!!!

    Hi Christine,
I first discovered Scraptime after meeting you at the Creativ festival in Toronto.
Thanks to you (and your husband, who I believe you told me is the cameraman) for all your hardwork making new, high-quality videos available so often.

    HAPPY 1st ANNIVERSARY!

I have just been watching all the things you can do with clear buttons. My goodness, what patience you have.

It’s nice that we can now watch the episodes directly from the website, but where has the iTunes download gone? I can’t save them anymore without that.

I loved the episode where you were using the Enveloper. I purchased one in the fall last year after seeing a demo, and have never used it, because I couldn’t remember how. Thank you for showing me. Now I can use it again.

Your episodes are great, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, could you speak a little slower.

    Thanks again,

    Sheila

I found out about Scrap Time when you told me about it. 😉 Congrats on your one year anniversary, I can’t believe it’s been that long! The new flash feature is amazing. I will now be able to watch the episodes on my laptop instead of having to borrow DH’s. It looks fantastic too, very clear and sharp.

I actually don’t remember how I found out about you the first time. I had watched you from the beginning and it was funny when I saw you at the Creativ Festival, I was trying so hard to place where I knew you from. When I finally went up to your table, I realized that I had been watching you periodically and that is why you were so familar! Since the Creativ Festival, I have been more devoted and watching every episode since. Thanks for making such a great little video, it’s my “me” time whenever you post! Happy Anniversary!

In reality it was prob only a min or less but it was hard to be patient when waiting to view the episodes. Tonight tho it was instant and I absolutely LOVED it!

Happy 1st Anniversary Christine & Scraptime!

I found you by accident on iTunes, I was looking for something “crafty” to watch, and there you were – and I haven’t looked back since, so many great ideas and reviews, and you have actually saved me money on more than one occasion (unless you talk to my hubby, then he will say you have cost me money on more than 99 occasions! LOL)

What a top ep as well, I have clear buttons that I use to highlight things, have done the paper thing before, but all those other ideas are just WOW and now I might need to go get me some more clear buttons! LOL We won’t tell hubby, ok?

Take care, thanks heaps and looking forward to seeing the grunge board!! It’s very new here in Aust, and expensive, but I will listen intently as you tell me whether I need to buy some or not!! LOL

    xx Chelle

I am so glad about the new format though. Can’t beleive it has been a full year already!! Congrats on your sucess!! I came accross your podcast through ITunes. I was searching for a scrapbooking podcast that featured videos as well as audio. And I found you. Initially i did not have a high speed connectino. My husband downloaded all your podcasts while he was in Washington DC (free high speed in his hotel room).

After I watched a few webisodes-I was hooked. We now have high speed and I download all your weekly podcast religiously.

You are awesome!! Continued success and happy scrapping.

I upload your podcasts to my ipod touch, and watch them anytime I’m waiting at the doctor’s office, or waiting for one of my kids at the dentist, sometimes I even watch them on my breaks at work when I’m on the evening shift. I really enjoy your demonstrations of different products, I even went out and bought a scor-it mini (I really would like the full size scor-it though) after watching your demo. I love Scrap Time… I found you on iTunes last fall and went back and got all of the old episodes. I have purchased so many products after seeing them on your podcast. I so appreciate your honesty when you have new products b/c this helps me to decide if I really need the product or not. Keep up the good work!!! Something I don’t remember seeing on your podcasts is the Stamp-a-ma-jig, while I LOVE to use it, I find people don’t understand how to use it so while they may have it, they aren’t using it. Thanks again for all your hardwork!!!

I found your show through iTunes, and while others have come and gone form my subscription list, yours is the one i’ve never even considered dropping, your style is so relaxed and yet so informative, you make me feel that I could achieve results I would be pleased with. Thanks so much for all you do

Wow. I can’t believe it’s been a year already! Thank you so much. I’ve learn so much from your podcasts. Actually started using my heat embossing stuff AFTER watching that episode. I still refer people to that and several others.

Congratulations!! I hope there’s many more years to come. May you always enjoy doing this.

This was the first time I have been to your website. I stumbled upon your cast while looking at diy and craft podcasts. I love your ideas for the buttons. I am a theatre major and such a quick switch for buttons is great for the costume shop.

Many Congratulations on your first anniversary. When asked a question about Flashplayer craft related production, I always send up a silent prayer for the person that made it. Not everyone has the facility through, maybe disability or ill health to attend workshops or conventions, and maybe does not even have a craft store in their area. So, being able to watch a reaL time player not only helps with the technical know how in how to improve on their own crafting, but also gives them an insight into the very best available products.Keep up the good work, and my thanks go to The Stamp Shack for steering me to your excellent website.

I just found a link to your website, and heard that you had some amazing videos. I just watched the clear buttons, and can’t believe how many different ideas you thought of! I liked the look with the copic markers! I don’t have any. I wonder if it would work with any other markers. I also really liked the rubons and stazon!
I plan to watch lots more of your videos! Thank you.
