Advent Envelope Book

Scrap Time - Advent Envelope Book

Scrap Time - Advent Envelope Book

I have added a Bonus Christmas Episode to show you an Advent Envelope Book I made my daughter.

I started by making the cover using the chipboard paper that comes in Paper Packs and cutting it down to size, a little larger than my envelopes. I covered it using the new K & Company paper and die-cuts. I did the same for the back of the book.

I then took 25 large money envelopes, that I found at an Office Supply store. I covered the front of each with paper and numbers. The number were from a Making Memories sheet of paper.

I was going to use my hole punch to cut the holes at the top of each envelope, but the papers were too thick. So I used scissors to cut the half circle at the top of each envelope.

I then used my Bind-It-All to bind the book together.

I made tags using my Quickutz Cookie Cutters, punched a hole in top and put different colours of ribbons through the holes. I put each tag into an envelope and put the ribbon through the circle at the top of each envelope.

And now it is time to fill the book. I have gathered tattoos, stickers, gum, and charms, as well, I am going to put little notes on some tags that will co-ordinate with a larger gift that couldn’t fit in the book.

Gemma is very excited about the book and I can’t wait until December 1st when she can start opening it!

Gemma is the cutest little helper, and I’m sure she will love whatever you end up putting in there for her.. TFS once again, wonderful project! We live quite a way from my grandmother, and I have already worked out how to adopt this for her, with photos of the kids and us for her for each page, instead of doing 25 pages, I thought do an page/envelope a month and do like a year in review, thank you so much for letting me explore this idea!! 😀 xx Chelle
