Ep. 112 - Altered Microscope Slides
Today I show you a few ways to alter Microscope Slides. The altered slides can be used on a layout, or you can get Microscope slide pendant holders from Ranger.
1. I got Microscope Slide Collage sheets from Tuscan Rose. All you have to do is cut out the image of your choice and sandwich it between the slides.
2. I took 3 Prima flowers, sandwiched them between the slides, and then glued crystals on top of the glass for the centres of the flowers.
3. I stamped using black Staz-on and then coloured in using my Sakura Glaze pens.
4. I used Peel and Stick stickers, stuck them on and then coloured in using Copic Markers. I then sprinkled some clear glitter over the slide and sandwiched the 2 slides together.
5. I used 1 colour alcohol ink on 1 slide, and another colour ink on the other slide, so when the slides are put together it forms a new colour. I added a rub-on and sandwiched then slides together.
These are just a few ideas! When made as a pendant they could be fantastic Christmas or Birthday gifts. You could even use them as ornaments on a tree. Have fun experimenting!!

Christine,
What kind of adhesive did you use to adhere the rhinestones to the slide on the flower pendant?
Great episode, just like all of them

I used Crystal Effects/Diamond Glaze/Glossy Accents. They all do the same thing.

What a wonderful idea! These would make really unique gift tags for Christmas or birthday gifts. I’m already thinking of the stamp sets I have that would work well for this. Thank you!
