Ep. 575 – How to Make a Gift Card Card!!

Scrap Time - Ep. 575 - Making a Gift Card Card!

Today I am showing you how to make a card to hold a gift card!! For this card I used the Creative Imaginations by Debbie Mumm collection! You start with a piece of paper that is 4 1/4″ x 11″. Remember, both sides of the paper will be showing. You then score the sheet at 3″, 5 1/2″ and 8″.

You then need to apply sticky tape to one inside piece that is going to form the inside pocket. Once it is adhered, take your gift card to determine the size of opening that is required. Then using a punch, punch out an opening for the gift card. Test it to make sure the card fits.

If you used a busy print of paper, take a journal tag and add it to the inside for a place to write your message. This card was made with the Creative Imaginations Studio Basics 101 collection.

Next add a ribbon around the card, then decorate the front!! Once your gift card is in place tie a nice bow to finish the card!!

You now have a nice gift to give to a special friend!!!

Be sure to check out the Creative Imaginations site to see all of their products!!

This is awesome and you couldn’t have timed it better for me. I give gift cards to my older nieces and nephews and also as thank you presents sometimes, and it is always a bit of a creative challenge on how to present them. I can see this idea being adapted easily just by changing the papers for a more masculine look or any other look to suit the recipient or the occasion. I haven’t seen the Debbie Mumm papers before but I have used some cross stitch materials from that range over the last couple of decades and have always loved the colour combinations. It was nice to see the paper range.
