Ep. 570 – Wicked by Creative Imaginations!

Scrap Time - Ep. 570 - Wicked by Creative Imaginations

Today I am showing you the Wicked Collection from Creative Imaginations! This collection has a Halloween feel to it, but I wanted to show you how you can use pieces to make non-Halloween layouts as well. First I made a Halloween layout using the Cobweb design paper. I sprayed the sheet with Periwinkle Luminarte sprays. I then cut strips of another sheet of the cobweb, and sprayed them with the green, Sunburst, Butternut and Pink Grapefruit sprays. You can see how 1 piece of paper can look different, but work together just by spraying it with the Luminarte sprays. What is hard to see is the beautiful sparkle these sprays have!! I added on some of the die-cut shapes to the layout as well!!

Next is my non-Halloween layout. Here I sprayed the background with Pink Grapefruit, Sunburst and Butternut Luminarte sprays. The colours blend beautifully together. For the heart I used a Luminarte dauber in Hot Cinnamon and rubbed it onto the paper. The Black glaze resisted the colour. I also applied the Hot Cinnamon to the edge of my crepe paper! I then sprayed some Butternut Luminarte spray onto a sheet and cut into strips for my journalling. Although this is a simple layout, the colours of the Luminarte spray really makes the layout stand out!

Check out the Creative Imaginations site to see this collection as well as the many more products they have to offer!!!

Interesting!! I’ve never thought of spraying my background papers. I’ve got lots of papers where I love the graphic pattern, but not necessarily the color…thanks for the idea.
    PS…Lovely necklace…Gemma has good taste!!

I am so loving these papers. I haven’t seen them locally. The shield and gate paper could so be used for a Harry Potter or Twilight layout as well. I see so many non holiday uses. Thanks so much!

Haven’t seen the papers here, but I was immediately drawn to the page with the gate. With a little bit of thought, it could even translate into a fairytale layout – I’m thinking castles, but you could also do some garden layouts there too. Halloween isn’t big here but you still find papers and embellishments in general holiday collections so it is handy to think about them a different way. It harks back to the episode where you used Christmas papers in non-Christmassy ways.

    thanks again,
    Sarah
